Why am I only attracted to arrogant men?

Most of the time, whenever I'm attracted to a man, I usually find out that he has an inflated opinion of himself. Also, he will usually be bombastic, always talking about how talented he is and what great things he's done. Although I recognize that these men are y, and I know they'd be a pain in the @$$ to date, I'm still wildly attracted to them in a very ual, almost primeval way. I suspect that it might be because I grew up with a conceited father, but his personality drives me nuts! Why is it that I am drawn to men with this negative trait, and how can I retrain myself to stay away form them and find someone better?
