What is the governmental role in a traditional economy?
Mainly the govt.s' role is maintaining law and order and security from external threat. But one a govt. comes into existence, the people in the Govt. and the people govt. hires always try to find out how they can expand their area of operations to make money for themselves at the cost of the citizens. So, they get into the business of mobilizing people's support promising better and fair life. Most people fall prey to such clever campaigns called demcratic movement, republic order, poverty eradication, social security, nationalism, socialism, patriotism, planned economic growth with social justice, elimination of the evil, religious equality, etc. And, the result is the govt's major role and activity turns into economic and political oppression and repression and making money at the cost of the people. It becomes the largest monopoly commercial business for exploitation of the people, for the crooks and the unproductive and by the crooks.
