My account was hacked?

My account was hacked on a message board. I don't know how someone got my pword but they have been posting things and it's not me. Nobody is believing me though. I sent messages to the admin and they haven't responded yet. Are they gonna be able to trace the IP to see if it was another member on the board or an unknown person? Otherwise I'm screwed and will probably be banned!
