What are your thoughts on the nationally recognized "pray day"?
is a nationally recognized day of prayer constitutional? I'm an atheist yet i don't find it offensive, i don't think we should get upset over everything that is religious in society, the recognition of the religious and atheists should be equally respected, isn't it a more important agenda of atheists to prevent discrimination and hatred of atheism? not complete religious censorship. i can simply choose not to pray but i can see possible issues that might arise. We all know it will leak into schools which could possibly lead to atheists or non christian groups being incidentally singled out and maybe subjected to discrimination or cruelty, since most schools in the U.S are made up predominately christian students. Outside of school, those who don't recognize pray day, may be the target of some public ridicule.
