Computer and monitor question?

I have a HP slimline computer, and a synaps LCD flatscreen monitor, They both have worked fine for the last couple months, i have made no alterations, but today when i turned the PC on, my monitor has no input signal on it, i tried jiggling the wires re connectiong rebooting, i tried my husbands monitor which is the same one as i have, and it works no problem, i put mine back in, and its a no go.. the power light stays orange and iuts usualy yellow when its on and working fine, i dont know if my monitor blew, or if there is something i can do or try? someone PLEASE help!!!!
